Eyelash Extension Aftercare
First 24 Hours:
No Touching! The adhesive used to bond the extensions to your natural lashes takes time to set fully. Avoid touching, rubbing or playing with the lashes.
Avoid all water and steam.
If you are getting an airbrush tan with us following your lash appointment, we provide coverings that will protect your new lashes.
After 24 Hours/Between Fills:
You will still want to avoid touching your lashes as much as you can, as our hands have natural oils that can transfer to our eyes.
Avoid over-combing. We recommend brushing your lashes in the morning and when they are completely dry. Never brush when wet!
If you have any concerns or questions about your retention give us a call ASAP and we will help! Your goal is to come back for your fill in 2-3 weeks with at least 25 lashes per eye otherwise your next appointment will be a full set instead of a fill.
Do not use waterproof mascara or eyeliner, or eye makeup that contains oil. These products can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your extensions. Ask your stylist about the best makeup products to use with your lash extensions.
Be consistent in removing your eye makeup every night to avoid eye infection, build up, and lash mites. The cleaner your lashes are the longer they will last. We recommend using our cleanser once a day to remove your makeup.
Avoid anything oil based around the eye area. If you use an eye cream, either apply it in the morning and set with a powder or apply it at night very lightly and let it dry completely.
Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler.
Do not let your shampoo or conditioner run into your lashes in the shower, and avoid having the water pressure beat down directly on them.
Your lashes will dry quickly, but if in a rush you can blow them dry with your hair dryer turned up at the waist on a low heat setting.
Come see us for your fill every 2-3 weeks.
